West Kendall Baptist Hospital features 203 private rooms and provides care for adult medical and surgical services including a separate critical care unit and an Emergency Department with 69 private treatment rooms Surgical services are provided in six operating rooms with room for future expansion Endoscopy suites and diagnostic and imaging facilities are also available
The ldquoBeautiful Beginningsrdquo program for expectant mothers includes allprivate labor and delivery suites dedicated Csection operating rooms and a level 1 NICUspecial care nursery within the labor and delivery unit
The Family Medicine Center located in the Medical Arts Building adjacent to the hospital serves as the primary training ground for an accredited Family Medicine residency program developed in partnership with Florida International Universitys Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine

West Kendall Baptist Hospital opened to the public in April 2011 as MiamiDade Countys first brandnew hospital in more than 35 years It is part of Baptist Health South Florida the largest faithbased notforprofit healthcare organization in the region
