History

In 1915 Dr AL Vadheim realized a hospital was needed for the welfare of his patients With the aid of two associates he founded a fivebed hospital on Main Street This hospital was destroyed by a tornado three years later In 1920 an 18bed facility was constructed and served the community of Tyler until 1958 In 1958 the AL Vadheim Memorial Hospital was constructed

A 14bed addition was built in 1964 Sunrise Manor a 43bed skilled nursing facility was dedicated in 1976 Home Care services were added in 1985 Management of the clinic building was assigned to Tyler Healthcare Center Inc in 1991 to reflect the wide range of integrated healthcare services we offer
