A halfcentury of health care
What is now known as Tri Valley Health System began over 50 years ago with the opening of Cambridge Memorial Hospital It took a combined effort to get the hospital started The keys to the hospital opening in 1958 were a bequest from John Decker a fund drive by area residents and a HillBurton grant
Quickly the hospital grew and expanded to serve the health care needs of Cambridge and surrounding communities In the early 1990s the health network expanded services to include senior care and housing and became Tri Valley Health System In the years since Tri Valley Health System has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal as a model for integration of services
Elmer Hospital named babyfriendly
