About the Center
The Cancer Center at Lake Manassas opened in February 2007 through the cooperative efforts of Fauquier Hospital and Prince William Hospital The 20000squarefoot facility is centrally located near Route 29 and I66 to offer patients in Fauquier Prince William and surrounding counties radiation therapy and oncology services close to home under the care of physicians they know and trust
The Cancer Center houses some of the leading radiation technologies including Linear Accelerator with IMRT Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and IGRT Image Guided Radiation Therapy innovations The Cancer Center is proud to be one of the only a few cancer centers in the area to use IGRT with quotSmart Beamquot Technology one of the most significant technological advancements in radiation oncology in the past 10 years IGRT allows our skilled technicians to more precisely target treatments to minimize side effects and damage to healthy tissue
The Cancer Center has also been a leader in the development and planning of other services that are not presently offered within this community including PETCT imaging RapidArc radiation therapy and brachytherapy
