Terrebonne General takes pride in being the largest communitybased hospital in the triparish area of Terrebonne Lafourche and St Mary parishes The medical center serves as a major economic force for the community with a staff of over 1300 employees In addition the hospital currently has a medical staff of over 150 physicians offering a variety of specialties ranging from family practice to cardiovascular surgery

Terrebonne General is accredited by Joint Commission the national body that ensures that member hospitals meet established standards for quality of patient care TGMC is also a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association and is also a member of Premier a purchasing organization of several hundred hospitals throughout the entire United States
