It features a heated helipad to accommodate helicopters transporting trauma patients in an emergency All of the rooms in the Tower are private and designed to be patientfriendly with wires and monitoring equipment out of the way
The Tower includes stateoftheart operating rooms that boast robotic surgical systems Sparrow became the first hospital in midMichigan to acquire a da Vinci robotic system in 2005 and acquired a second one in 2008
Sparrow Hospital also features neonatal and pediatric intensive care units a certified primary stroke center the Sparrow Heart and Vascular Center and the Sparrow Cancer Center
