History

Our History
In Chattanooga physical rehabilitation is synonymous with two philanthropic brothers Mose and Garrison Siskin who experienced tragedy in their lives and knew physical rehabilitation firsthand The brothers dreamed of building the finest physical rehabilitation hospital but passed away before seeing their dream fulfilled

In 1986 a separate corporation was established by the Siskin Memorial Foundation to develop a rehabilitation hospital In March of 1990 Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation officially opened as an inpatient and outpatient facility in its present location behind Erlanger Medical Center

Today the hospital is one of a handful of freestanding independent notforprofit rehabilitation hospitals in the nation
