Founded by a group of local physicians who were passionate about serving the citys expanding population Peace River Regionals original 50bed hospital opened on June 4 1962 There were three fulltime physicians and one parttime physician associated with Peace River Regional at this time Over the years PRRMC has expanded to 220 beds but the real growth has been in the number of services we offer the community and in the quality of those services
We serve Southwest Florida and beyond through our full continuum of care and with a wide range of community health education and outreach programs
