The hospital expanded the emergency department in 2003 more than doubling its size from eight to 18 beds and increasing capacity of the diagnostic imaging department as well
Since it opened in January 1983 Northern Nevada Medical Center owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services Inc a King of Prussia PAbased company that is one of the largest healthcare management companies in the nationThe hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission TJC and licensed by the state of Nevada
