The Medical Center at Franklin proudly serves the residents of southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee with the services that allow them to remain close to home for medical care Since the completion of our 5 million expansion and renovation project of our acute care wing The Medical Center at Franklin is one of the most technologically advanced community hospitals youll find In 2010 the hospital completed another expansion with the opening of the Franklin Medical Pavilion which houses several hospital services including a new laboratory rehabilitation services cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and physician suites

History
In January 1969 Franklin Simpson Memorial Hospital opened its doors but by the turn of the century the hospital was struggling In 2000 Simpson County Fiscal Court entered into contract negotiations with Commonwealth Health Corporation CHC for acquisition of the hospital Following acquisition the hospital was renamed The Medical Center at Franklin to reflect its flagship sister hospital The Medical Center at Bowling Green
Since the acquisition The Medical Center at Franklin has flourished The Franklin Medical Plaza opened in 2001 to provide space for multiple specialty physicians to rotate through
In 2004 the hospital attained Joint Commission Accreditation for the first time in the hospitals history The Medical Center at Franklin has made tremendous investments into the services and physical upgrades to the facility In December 2007 a 5 million expansion and renovation project was completed that featured a new 25bed patient care wing In April 2010 construction of the Franklin Medical Pavilion a 17633squarefoot 34 million medical office building was completed With these expansions The Medical Center at Franklin is positioned to provide stateoftheart care to southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee for many years to come
