History

Madison Medical Center was completed and opened on March 1 1961 It was originally founded by a group of dedicated area citizens and was one of the first hospitals in Missouri to be built under the HillBurton funding program Many additional services and departments have been added throughout the years Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home was constructed and opened in 1982 It was named after Mr and Mrs Anthony Stockhoff who were major contributors of funds for the building an amount totaling 325000 A major addition of nearly 30000 square feet was opened in March 1998 consisting of brand new acute care surgical and admission areas
