LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas has two stateoftheart facilities in convenient locations serving the Rio Grande Valley We have offered specialty acute hospital services to families across the Rio Grande Valley since March 1998 Our South McAllen hospital opened in March of 2005 and has a 62bed capacity in a modern freestanding facility Our newest McAllen North facility which is located on Jackson Road has a 32bed capacity with full telemetry capabilities Our Medicarecertified hospitals are accredited by The Joint Commission serving local Valley residents as well as winter Texans who reside in the Valley during the months of September through April
Our hospitals specialize in meeting the needs of the medically complex patients Patients are referred to LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas for continuous monitoring of their complex acute medical conditions and aggressive therapy Our transdisciplinary team includes physicians ACLScertified nursing staff respiratory therapists physicaloccupationalspeech therapists wound care specialist dietitians case managers and social workers Team members are committed to providing quality comprehensive and individualized patient care and to instilling hope and confidence in each of our patients LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas is recognized for their excellent wound care and ventilator weaning programs
