Our History
Through The Years With Jersey Community Hospital
Jersey Community Hospital was founded in 1954 and is owned by the people of Jersey County It employs over 300 people and has an annual budget of nearly 20000000 While Jersey Community Hospital participates with various hospital alliances and associations it is an independent facility
Service is provided without regard to the ability to pay There are around 2000 admissions per year 8000 emergency patients 300 births and 35000 outpatients 130 to 160 patients will have surgery each month including advanced orthopedics pacemaker implantation cataracts and a variety of laproscopic procedures
Jersey Community Hospital is committed to community education and prevention The JCH Wellness Center embodies these values The Center houses a 35yard lap pool aerobics and strength training equipment In addition Physicians and staff provide regular updates on health issues lifestyle implications and medical advances
