The IU Health Simon Cancer Center is located in the heart of Indianapolis Our researchers offer worldclass stateoftheart programs in cancer research These programs meet rigorous criteria set by the National Cancer Institute The National Cancer Institute has designated our center as a comprehensive cancer center We are Indianas only NCIdesignated comprehensive cancer center To achieve that recognition we are committed to developing research programs faculty and facilities The goal of this work will lead to better approaches to prevention diagnosis and treatment of cancer

History
Established in 1992 the IU Health Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center is a partnership between the IU School of Medicine and IU Health The current name was adopted in 2006 to reflect the philanthropic support of the Melvin and Bren Simon family
