Welcome to Holdenville General Hospital located in rural Hughes County Oklahoma population 14000 Holdenville General Hospital opened in 1969 as a 45bed medical surgical hospital With the addition of the Physicians Clinic in 2000 the facility downsized to a 36 bed general acute care hospital

In May of 2002 the hospital suffered a devastating fire and underwent a major renovation reopening in June of 2003 as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital

In addition to provide necessary medical services to the surrounding rural communities Holdenville General Operates a Rural Health Clinic located within the facility Physicians Health Clinic on campus and Allen Health Clinic located in Allen Oklahoma

Holdenville General Hospitals primary service area includes most of Hughes County and portions of Pontotoc Coal and Seminole Counties Approximately 58 and 24 of Holdenville General Hospitals patients originate from the cities of Holdenville and Wewoka respectively The organization currently has a total of 133 regular employees The hospital also employs two physician assistants and four physicians There are a total of six active staff and nine physician specialists utilizing Holdenville General Hospitals outpatient Specialty Clinic as members of our consulting staff
