About Us
Hocking Valley Community Hospital is a 25bed Critical Access Hospital with a 30bed Skilled Nursing Facility and a 10bed Geriatric Psychiatric unit serving Hocking County Ohio and surrounding counties in the Hocking Hills region A Joint Commission accredited hospital we provide broadbased medical care through our own diagnostic and treatment capabilities and in conjunction with our medical staff which includes specialists in family practice cardiovascular services internal medicine obstetrics and occupational medicine Our medical staff is comprised of over sixty physicians

History of Hocking Valley Community Hospital
Hocking Valley Community Hospital began as a forprofit entity in 1906 and became a community nonprofit hospital in 1949 The original structure was a local residence which underwent multiple revisions as community needs expanded In 1963 responding to pressures of modern medicine and advancing technologies the community raised funds to build a 93 bed hospital which is the nucleus for the current facility
