Heritage Valley Health System was formed in 1996 by Sewickley Valley Hospital The Medical Center Beaver and four physician groups Sewickley Valley Hospital was founded in 1907 The Medical Center was established in 1972 the result of local hospital mergers Its earliest predecessor hospital Beaver Valley General Hospital opened in 1894
