History

Our History
From its early beginnings in 1923 the Lyon County Health Department has continued to grow from providing home visits and immunizations to offering more comprehensive public and personal health services including medical dental and behavioral health care

The Health Department became a Federally Qualified Health Center in 1997 and has expanded services to everyone includings indviduals with insurance Medicare Medicaid and HealthWave as well as the uninsured

The Center is dedicated to providing professional services and resources with an emphasis on prevention
