Known throughout California and beyond Delano Regional Medical Center is a fullservice community and regional teaching hospital DRMC serves 10 rural central California towns and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience With a total of 156 beds DRMC is a notforprofit hospital with services including an Intensive Care Unit a SubAcute Care Unit a Medical Surgical Unit a dedicated Surgical Pavilion and an ObstetricsGynecology Unit
Two rural health clinics Delano Womens Medical Clinic and Wasco Medical Plaza provide the compassionate care patients expect and deserve
With over 130 physicians on the hospitals active medical staff and additional courtesy or consulting physicians patients are assured of receiving highquality care in multiple specialties DRMCs physicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment
DRMC is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association AOA and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program HFAP
DRMC opened its doors on January 17 1974 as Delano Community Hospital Over the past 35 years DRMC has grown in both size and technological expertise Expansions in key departments have been the norm for the hospital A 20000square foot wing addition allowed DRMC to add 30 additional beds for acute care including a 10bed Intensive Care Unit as well as an enlarged inpatient laboratory and pharmacy department Recent expansions have included adding a 64slice CT and new MRI in the radiology department and a Pediatric Unit A hospitalist specializing in pediatrics is available 24hours a day
