More than 50 years ago Cameron Community Hospital began life in a house deeded over to the City of Cameron by the Kansas CitySt Joseph Catholic Diocese for use as a health care facility In 1955 the old CCH facility was erected followed by periodic improvements and additions over the years

The new Cameron Regional Medical Center opened its doors on August 1 2002 melding its proud past with an exciting future The prime location at the southeast corner of Interstate 35 and BB Highway provides high visibility and easy access With 60 acres on which to expand the Medical Center has completed two adjacent medical office buildings

The new 11 million hospital is a 60800 square foot onestory 58bed facility with technologicallyadvanced equipment and new furnishings Cameron Regional has 33 medicalsurgical beds six inpatient rehabilitation beds five ICU cubicles six ER treatment bays and ten GeroPsychiatric beds Additional amenities include a chapel two interior courtyards and a helipad Another step in the growth and regionalization process of Cameron Regional Medical Center unfolded when a beautiful new Obstetrical Unit with four LDRPs opened in October 2005
