Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center is a 306bed acutecare voluntary notforprofit community hospital located in East Patchogue New York We opened our doors to the community in 1956 Our Medical Center is comprised of the main campus two community multidisciplinary health centers and a modern stateoftheart facility located in downtown Patchogue accommodating our expanded Hemodialysis Program Home Health and HospiceBereavement Services as well as an offsite ambulatory Womens Imaging CenterEstablished in 1956 the Medical Center has grown over the years to serve the needs of twentyeight communities throughout central Suffolk County Positioning Brookhaven Hospital as the provider of choice within our region remains a longterm goal of our board of directors

Always responsive to the needs of the people we serve Brookhaven Memorial Hospital was the first in the county to establish a Certified Home Health Care Department a Hospice and an outpatient Hemodialysis unit We will soon celebrate a 30year partnership with Suffolk County through the provision of two Community Health Centers located in Patchogue and Shirley

The Medical Center has established a leadership position in health promotion prevention and education throughout the community Our designation as a Level II Trauma Center insures that our residents and visitors will receive technologically advanced medical care in any emergent situation As a community based hospital Brookhaven affords quality health care for all sectors of the population and is a provider under Medicare Medicaid most managed care organizations private pay as well as indigent care Quality medical care continues to be the focus of the Medical Centers enduring patientcentered approach to healthcare in the exploration of new and innovative programs
