History

History
In 1956 the people of Bibb County decided the dream of a hospital would finally become a reality to them It was in that year the citizens of Bibb County voted for a one cent sales tax increase to generate funds to build a hospital On October 4 1959 Bibb Medical Center did indeed become a reality

It was in 1964 that the Bibb Medical Center Administration saw the need for a long term care facility for Bibb County After much hard work and planning on July 9 1967 the Bibb County Nursing Home opened its doors with 30 beds Over the years the Nursing Home has grown into a remarkable 131 bed facility

In recent years Bibb Medical Center has expanded its hospital and nursing home facilities to include diverse services such as Cahaba Trace Garden Homes and Cahaba Trace Apartments Bibb Medical Center also offers physician and specialty clinic such as Bibb Medical Associates Urgent Care Clinic Orthopedic Clinic Urology Clinic Gastroenterology Clinic Oncology Clinic Neurology Clinic Outpatient Surgery Pain Clinic and Woodstock Health Clinic At the hospital you can depend on outpatient services offered such as Physical Therapy Respiratory Therapy and Laboratory Services
