We have a longstanding tradition at Bert Fish Medical Center of providing compassionate care with quality service Our acute care medical center is in downtown New Smyrna Beacha historic community whose lineage traces back to 1768 when one of the largest British Colonial era settlements was established here Bert Fish Medical Center is a public hospital that owes its birthright to the late Judge Bert Fish a philanthropist whose trust established three Fish Memorial Hospitalsincluding this onein Volusia County in 1954 It is through the benevolence of Judge Fish that we exist to care for the people of Southeast Volusia County
