Baraga County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital with long term care unit located in LAnse which provides health care for the residents of Baraga County and surrounding areas

The hospital is licensed for 15 acute care beds and 9 swingbeds The hospital and our home care amp hospice agency are accredited by the Joint Commission and the hospitals laboratory is accredited by COLA

During the past several years Baraga County Memorial Hospital has made major investments to renovate and improve its facility which has allowed the hospital to expand its services

The hospital has also made a commitment to providing a continuum of care with their home health agency amp hospice Baraga County Home Care amp Hospice the medical equipment business Baraga County Medical Equipment Bayside Village Nursing Home and also with the addition of the BCMH Rehab amp Fitness Center

After going through a review of the physical facility and public meetings to review the results of the studies which have been performed by space and financial planners BCMH is currently constructing a new hospital facility on US 41 in LAnse The new facility will also incorporate the physician offices into the same structure along with a retail pharmacy for the convenience of our community members to allow for quotone stopquot medical care The new facility is scheduled to open in 2011
