HISTORY
Beginning in the 1940s the US Indian Health Service began providing health care for Alaska Native people By 1998 transition to Alaska Native ownership was completed with the transfer of ANMC to ANTHC and SCF Today ANMC has become a world leader in health care where advanced technology meets human caring ANMC is also a gathering place where longtime friends can celebrate life events learn ways to maintain wellness or simply visit one another
