We aim to provide a caring professional and confidential service for all our patients We encourage patients to take responsibility for their own health and to follow our practice charter
Patients joining the practice are registered with the Herschel Medical Centre but one clinician will have overall responsibility for your care However you are able to see any member of the clinical team subject to availability Often your care will be from a Nurse Practitioner for simpler conditions requiring diagnosis and treatment the Practice Nurses for ongoing conditions such as diabetes asthma dressings or family planning and the Health Care Assistants for simple tests and procedures such as blood pressure and urine checks
When making an appointment by telephone our call handlers will ask the reason for your appointment This is not to pry or interpret clinically it is just to help direct you to the most appropriate person for your needs Your help with this would be appreciated but if the reason for your appointment is particularly personal please state this
