Sheffield Childrens Hospital was first established in 1876 Since 1948 it has provided services under the NHS and in 1992 it was established as an NHS trust On August 1 2006 it became Sheffield Childrens NHS Foundation Trust under the Health and Social Care Community Health and Standards Act 2003
