The hospital has a 24hour Emergency Department which sees around 60000 patients a year and a large Day of Surgery Admissions Unit the Sandbourne Suite A purpose built Ophthalmic Unit is located on site as well as a stateoftheart Cardiology Unit and the award winning Derwent Unit an orthopaedic service providing hip and knee replacements
