General information The new pound25m Newton Abbot Community Hospital opened to patients on 12 January 2009 The new hospital will provide people living in Newton Abbot and the surrounding area with a state of the art health facility for the future It replaces the 110year old Victorian and Edwardian hospital which no longer fits the purpose of delivering 21st century health and social care Better services from the new hospital include
