It provides a specialist rehabilitation centre with high quality facilities highly skilled nursing staff and experienced therapists It is a centre of excellence in lowrisk hip and knee replacement operations and a full range of outpatient and diagnostics is also provided for local patients
In 2009 a new cataract centre and eye care unit was opened at the hospital delivering a full range of ophthalmology outpatient services including cataract surgery and the hospital also includes a midwifery led birth centre
