A new annexe houses our Fracture amp Orthopaedic Clinic which has its own dedicated Xray suite and will treat up to 30000 patients a year The two upper floors contain a state of the art staff education centre
A dedicated Children and Young Persons Unplanned Care Unit opened in November 2006 Youngsters requiring emergency or urgent care are treated here It is based within the A amp E department and is run jointly by A amp E and the Childrens departments The facility also includes an assessment unit for GP referrals Here young patients see a specialist doctor or be observed before a decision is made on whether they should be admitted to our Childrens Ward
