Our North Harbour site is one of three Southern Cross hospitals in Auckland region included within our national network Facilities have recently been expanded with the addition of the Northern Surgical Centre and the site includes the only private surgical inpatient hospital on the citys North Shore The North Harbour site is also home to Waitemata Endoscopy a purposebuilt endoscopy suite within the surgical hospital
Established in 1991 our North Harbour hospital typically provides services to over 6000 patients annually and is widely known amongst patients and specialists in the area It is their fast growing demand for our services that drives new investments and that has delivered extensions and ongoing improvements to patient facilities within the hospital Recent enhancements include not only the addition of the Northern Surgical Centre with consulting rooms and a cafe but also a new specially designed intermediate care service increasing the scope and complexity of surgical services that can be provided within the private sector on Aucklands North Shore
