Welcome to The Omahanui Group of residential care facilities
We have been steadily growing since we first opened our doors in 1972 to help rehabilitate patients with head injuries or look after patients suffering from mental disabilities such as dementia
Being owned and run by family means all the four Omahanui facilities in New Plymouth and Wanganui have a family feel for both residents and staff
In New Plymouth we include Omahanui Home Care Omahanui Hospital and Omahanui Special Care While in Wanganui we also operate another Omahanui Special Care facility and a Home Care service
Over the four locations we look after up to 550 patients and residents with more than 150 specially trained nurses care givers kitchen staff and allied health workers
All these dedicated people make the Omahanui facilities the special places they are for the special people we look after And we also all share one important quality
