Vala Eye Centre is helmed by our vitreoretinal surgeon ndash DrRuchi Vala She is a trained Vitreo Retina Surgeon and Uveitis Specialist She finished her Undergraduate MBBS from Government Medical College Surat in 2011 She pursued her Postgraduation in Ophthalmology from Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University Vadodara To find her path in the retina she did a 2year longterm fellowship from Narayana Nethralaya Eye Hospital Bangalore At this Alma Mater she finished an exclusive six months research fellowship in Uvea under DrPadmamalini Mahendradas and eighteen months fellowship in Medical and Surgical Retina thereafter There under Dr Ananad Vinekars guidance she was trained for pediatric retinal diseases like Retinopathy of Prematurity ROP Thereon she went on to work as a Vitreoretinal surgeon in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Narayan Eye Hospital Tajpura in Vadodara followed by KDHospital SRG Hospital and Contacare Eye Care in Ahmedabad Over these courses she has published various national and international articles in acclaimed journals and even written book chapters in Ophthalmology books She has presented her research and clinical work in various national and international conferences like AIOS EURETINA RETNET Her hobbies include reading books classical dancing Bharatnatyam traveling and meeting new people Her love for her profession is reflected in her clinic and she hopes that with it she can help many people get the right treatment at the right time
