In 1938Swami Puranjananda of the Ramakrishna Nirmalanada Mandal Ottapalam started the Sri Ramakrishna Nirmalananda Ashrama at Vytilla in Kochi dt Ernakulam

The Management and the Administration of this Ashrama were taken over by Ramakrishna Math Belur Math on 29th October 1999 And then onwards the Math became Ramakrishna Math Vyttilaquot Kochi

With the blessings of Sri Ramakrishna New Saradaprasadam Auditorium was constructed in the year 2007 at the math premises
