Considered a prodigy in his undergraduate medical education he secured the maximum number of Gold Medals 32 from Madras University

That was not allhe secured the University gold medal in the MS Examination and won the Gold Medal for securing First Rank in the country the DipNB General Surgery examination Dr J S Rajkumar was amongst the youngest in the world to have completed FRCS before the age of 24 years and has the distinction of being the only Indian to hold four FRCS degrees

An authority on surgical skills he was a key member of the core team in Indias first Liver transplant So far he has completed over 2000 advanced laproscopic surgeries and continues to rededicate himself towards serving in this field passionately
