MISSION STATEMENT

Baptist Christian Hospital is a family of health professionals that exists to provide highest possible quality care at affordable cost to the communities of the districts of Sonitpur Nagaon Darrang Lakhimpur of Assam and neighbouring districts from the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya with a propoor and patient friendly identity



We shall achieve this through

1 Development of hospital services so the BCH emerges as the referral center of the catchment area

2 Provision of Medical Education in various health fields

3 Whole person care

4 Leadership development

History

The Baptist Christian Hospital was established by the Baptist General Conference through the North Bank Baptist Medical Association From a humble start of out patient dispensary on 07 July 1952 the hospital grew as a fullfledged hospital and was opened in June 1954 The School of Nursing was started in 1954

Since 2004 the Emmanuel Hospital Association has managed a resurgence of care at the Hospital with the resultant influx of large numbers of patients from neighbouring districts states


The hospital is situated in Tezpur town the headquarters of Sonitpur District of Assam and the most important town on the north bank of river Brahmaputra
