History

2008 Marks 10th Anniversary of Lakeridge Health Hospital Network Is One Of The Largest In Ontario

LAKERIDGE HEALTH THE BEGINNING

In 1998 the Ontario government at the recommendation of its Health Services Restructuring Commission amalgamated four Durham area hospitals Memorial Hospital Bowmanville North Durham Health Services Port Perry and Uxbridge sites Oshawa General Hospital and Whitby General Hospital to create Lakeridge Health In addition to our four sites the Uxbridge facility became aligned with Markham Stouffville Hospital in 2004 we also have numerous offsite locations to better serve our community
