Round Lake Treatment Centre is an accredited 36bed alcohol and drug abuse treatment facility located on the Okanagan Indian Reserve near Vernon in British Columbias Okanagan Valley Programs in addictions treatment are offered to clients from throughout the province with a focus on holistic healing and First Nations culture It is situated in a private parklike setting on the edge of scenic Round Lake

As the successful candidate you will have experience in the not for profit sector preferably under the supervision of a Board of Directors You will have a proven track record managing an organization with up to 40 staff members We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and leadership skills exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to promoting and fostering the success of The Round Lake Treatment Centre

You will also have experience and success in the areas of fundraising and community relations Strong oral and writing abilities are also definite assets for this role For qualifications we prefer a post secondary degree in administration or a related field with a minimum of three years in a position of a similar nature and seniority or a recognized certificate in management programming with at least five years of experience in a position of a similar nature and seniority Experience of a minimum of five 5 years experience working with First Nations people in a health or service related capacity

A flexible working schedule is essential as the Executive Director is required to attend Board Meetings in addition to acting as a representative of the society
