History

In 1983 the Seymour Community Services Society registered as a nonprofit society providing programs and services to the community out of the Seycove Community Centre attached to Seycove Secondary Community School In 1999 the Society entered into a partnership with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission to oversee and manage the operations of the Parkgate Community Centre as mandated by the District of North Vancouver to provide a full service community centre to the community In 2004 Seymour Community Services Society changed its name to Parkgate Community Services Society
