AHSChinook Health serves more than 157000 residents covering 25947 square kilometres Nearly half of the residents live in Lethbridge its largest community with the remaining scattered throughout more than 40 other towns villages and surrounding rural areas

AHSChinook has more than 3900 staff making it the largest employer south of Calgary The area is also home to more than 200 physicians who serve the health needs of residents

AHSChinook Health delivers hospital continuing and community care services from sites in 12 communities throughout the region Additional continuing care services are contracted with St Michaels Health Centre Extendicare Lethbridge and Fort Macleod and Edith Cavell Chinook also supports eight enhanced care lodges in partnership with local Lodge Foundations and five designated assisted living facilities operated by The Good Samaritan Society
