Up until the late 1970s Mt Wilga was run as a Commonealth Rehabilitation Service

Since reopening as a private hospital in 1987 Mt Wilga Private Hospital has developed a reputation for providing quality rehabilitation services to the local community as well as the broader health needs of NSW and beyond

In July 2001 Mt Wilga Private Hosptial joined the Ramsay Health Care group Mt Wilga Private Hospital is now part of a large group of hospitals providing private health servcies across the nation In 2005 Mt Wilga underwent a major redevelopment building a new ward block with therapy areas and the renovation of existing therapy areas
