Masada Private Hospital is a fully accredited 76 bed acute medical surgical and maternity hospital We are a non denominational hospital caring for all patients irrespective of religion or nationality Each member of our staff is highly skilled to ensure that we provide you with the very best health care available Your care and comfort are our primary concern
We have a combination of air conditioned private and shared accommodation each equipped with ensuites colour television and direct dial telephone facilities
Our four operating theatres are equipped for both minor and complex procedures
Masada Private Hospitals philosophy is to provide a range of services which are appropriate to the needs of the community Each individual whether patient visiting practitioner staff or visitor is entitled to the highest level of respect and care
History
Masada Private Hospital History
1970s
Masada started life as a Jewish Nursing Home
1988
Australian Hospital Care Ltd AHCL purchased Masada and turned the Nursing home into a nondenominational acute medical surgical hospital
1990
The hospital was refurbished and new Maternity wing and consulting suites added
2000
AHCL plan to sell its entire hospital portfolio
2001
Mayne purchased the AHCL group
2002
Affinity Health purchased Masada and the other 51 hospitals owned by Mayne
throughout Australia and Indonesia
2003
New dedicated Day Surgery Centre commissioned and theatre complex renovated
including 3 theatres and stage 1 2 amp 3 recovery areas
2005
Ramsay Health Care purchased the entire Affinity Health portfolio of
hospitals Ramsay Health Care was founded in 1964 by Paul Ramsay and has
grown to become the largest provider of private hospital services in
Australia owning and operating hospitals in Victoria NSW Queensland
South Australia Western Australia and Indonesia Ramsay Health Care listed
on the Australian Stock Exchange in September 1997
