Maryvale Private Hospital was founded in 1991 and is 100 locally by Latrobe Health Services
The hospital was built to provide patients with the option of being admitted to a local private hospital The hospital is within easy driving distance of Warragul Moe Morwell and Traralgon and a comfortable drive along the freeway from the more distant parts of Gippsland Prior to the opening of Maryvale Private Hospital privately insured patients in the Latrobe Valley and greater Gippsland had no option but to travel to Melbourne to receive medical treatment in a private facility
