The original Cleburne County Hospital opened as a 36bed acute care hospital in 1968 In 1996 the facility became the fifth hospital in the BAPTIST HEALTH system and the name was changed to Baptist Medical CenterHeber Springs to reflect its new ownership The name was subsequently changed to its current name of BAPTIST HEALTH Medical CenterHeber Springs BHMCHS in 2003
