Wilson Memorial General Hospital was constructed in 1946 as a three storey wooden building During the year of 1966 the Hospital recognized that the existing building was inadequate to meet their needs Plans were implemented to provide a totally new hospital at the current location

Since its opening in 1971 Wilson Memorial General Hospital has served the communities of Marathon Heron Bay Pic River Mobert and White River with excellent medical care The hospital delivers health services to this catchment area of 7500 people This high quality of commitment from the medical staff and support staff make our facility first class Their training experience and individual skills enable this hospital to meet the challenges the future brings Great care has been taken to provide efficient service to the public
