History of Saint Michaels HospitalFounded in 1913 by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother Saint Michaels Hospital provides an integrated continuum of primary and secondary health care services to Portage County and surrounding Central Wisconsin communities

In 1998 Saint Michaels constructed a stateoftheart 110000squarefoot clinic addition to the hospital that is now occupied by Rice Medical Center a multispecialty clinic with 60 physicians During that time the hospital interior was completely renovated including the addition of a new cancer center urgent care department laboratory and MRI suite
