Overview
Our unit is a 12bed rapid response service for people who misuse drugs or alcohol We provide treatment for people whose psychological or physical health is suffering as a result of their chaotic or complex substance misuse behaviour

We offer intensive evidencebased assessment and medically supervised prescribing We use brief intervention therapy to care for and treat people who require stabilisation We provide a safe environment for people to reduce or complete a medicallyassisted withdrawal from harmful substances Our philosophy is based on motivational enhancement therapy which uses the harm reduction model and promotes healthy behavioural change
