The London Arrhythmia Centre offers investigation and treatment for patients with disturbances of heart rhythm arrhythmias This very common clinical problem may cause simple palpitations that just require reassurance may cause blackouts with injury and sometimes tragically unexpected deaths in young apparently healthy people
Effective treatments are available for nearly all arrhythmias and the London Arrhythmia Centre offers the most up to date facilities and a dedicated group of doctors and allied medical staff The nine doctors who currently staff the centre have between them over 60 years of Consultant experience in arrhythmia care and have published over 100 research papers
In addition to rapid access to outpatient assessment treatments offered include Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy for patients with heart failure and Implantation of Cardioverter Defibrillators We ablate cauterise all common arrhythmias and specialise in the treatment of complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias seen in adults with congenital heart disease
