Greenwich Hospital is a 174bed community hospital serving lower Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County New York It is a major academic affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine and a member of the Yale New Haven Health System

Formation of Greenwich Hospital
The Greenwich Hospital Association GHA dates from a meeting in a Methodist chapel on March 2 1903 The meeting was called to arouse a wider interest in building a hospital in the heart of the borough Presiding was A Foster Higgins a founder of the Greenwich Gas amp Electric Lighting Company who became one of the hospitals first five incorporators The other four all of whom signed on that night were prominent local citizens Edward Brush William Hall Herbert B Stevens and George Lauder
